Five bars, one evening, and the southernmost pub crawl most people will ever do. A stop in each, the stories behind them, and the sort of conversation you only get in a city where everyone knows everyone. We finish at Falkland Beerworks — the only place in the Islands brewing its own beer, so this is the one stop where what is in your glass was made here. Drinks are bought at the bar and are not part of the fee.
Stanley's pubs and the social history behind them
In a city of under 3,000 people, the pubs are where a great deal of ordinary life happens. This is a walking tour of Stanley as much as a pub tour: the bars sit a few minutes apart along and above Ross Road, and the walk between them is where the stories get told.
We finish at Falkland Beerworks, the only place in the Islands brewing its own beer, which makes it the one stop where what is in your glass was actually made here.
Practical points
This walk runs in the evening and is for adults, 18 and over. Drinks are bought at the bar and are not included in the tour price, so you decide what you drink and how much. The Globe Tavern will join the route again when it reopens.
